Introduction

Hi! 
     My name is Daren Laney and this blog follows my travels around the world. I will talk about my experiences in the countries I visit, about my dreams and about my family back home. I hope you can see all of my failures and flaws and I hope I work on them during the duration of this blog.
      My current goal is to travel the world by train, or at least as much as possible! The route so far looks like this: France, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Russia, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and finally New Zealand. This is all subject to change, however if it does change I will not change this list as it will be good to see where things change course and why they did. There will be time when I may have to fly, getting to Australia and New Zealand by boat looks possible on a map but I imagine it is probably as long as flying in from somewhere in Russia. That's if there is even a commercial boat that makes that journey.
             Thank you so much for taking the time to read this blog, it would mean a lot if someone where to sit in front of a screen for 10 - 20 minutes just to read what I have to say.
